1. Log on as user root.
2. Add a CD-ROM file system.
a. Enter the command smitty.
b. Select:
Physical & Logical Storage → File Systems →
Add / Change / Show / Delete File Systems →
CDROM File Systems → Add a CDROM File System
c. Press F4 to get a list of device names.
Select a device name.
d. Enter the mount point <CD-mountdir>.
(For example, <CD-mountdir> is /sapcd)
e. Press F10 to exit smitty.
3. Mount the CD-ROM.
a. Enter the command smitty.
b. Select:
Physical & Logical Storage →
File Systems → Mount a File System
c. Place the cursor on File System Name and press F4.
d. Select /sapcd.
e. Place the cursor on field Type of File System. Press F4.
f. Select cdrfs.
g. Change Mount as Read Only system to YES.
h. Press ENTER.
i. Press F10 to exit smitty.
